Dingdong Dantes and co-star Ketchup Eusebio hopped on Kapuso Stream's gaps to chat with viewers and tease thrilling plot points on Friday, May 15.
Dingdong first shared trivia about the name The Master Cutter and the importance of this profession.
“[Master cutter] ang nasa likod kung bakit maayos ang tabas at pagtahi at paggawa ng isang damit,” Dingdong explained. “It's a skill na very refined.”
Dingdong and Ketchup, who play rival tailors Atoy and Emerson respectively in a small community in Baclaran, gave their respect for real-life tailors and discussed just how grounded the show is in reality.
“Isa pong karangalan ang mag-represent sa inyo,” said Ketchup.
When talking about Baclaran, Dingdong recalled the shooting days on location that helped the cast feel immersed in the place and the people there.
“Mahal na mahal natin ang Baclaran,” said Dingdong.
He also shared another trivia that The Master Cutter director Dominic Zapata is actually from Baclaran and that Joey Marquez's character on the show, Mang Delfin, is based on a real-life tailor.
“Ang ganda na nabigyan ng buhay 'yung community na 'yun at 'yung industry ng mga mananabas,” Ketchup added.
The two veteran actors gushed about how exciting it is to work with each other again after their last movie together in 2017.
“Ang lupit talga ng acting ng isang Ketchup Eusebio,” praised Dingdong about his co-star's first scene on screen, which brought comedic moments and received positive comments from netizens.
Without spoiling anything, the Kapuso star asked the viewers to tune in to see if Atoy and Emerson will end up becoming allies.
