Dingdong Dantes on seeing Marian Rivera doing 'Balota': “Kakaiba 'yung fulfillment niya dito sa pelikulang ito.
Multi-awarded Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes is immensely proud seeing his wife Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera give her all in the Cinemalaya entry Balota.
Balota, a suspense-thriller-comedy, co-produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Entertainment Group with Cinemalaya, is now showing.
In an exclusive chat with Nelson Canlas, the Kapuso Primetime King recalled the moments when he saw Marian come home feeling fulfilled, despite getting some bruises from her shooting from Balota.
Dingdong told 24 Oras, “May pasa, 'yung kuko niya natanggal, mga kung ano. Sabi ko, 'ano nangyari sa braso mo?'
“Parang may resibo e. Tuwing umuuwi may resibo kung gaano ka-intense 'yung pelikula. Pero never ko kasi siyang nakita rin ganitong kasaya sa paggawa ng isang pelikula, bukod sa Rewind.
“And for a very long-time hindi na rin siya gumawa.”
“Pero talagang ano 'yung mga conversations namin ay tungkol na sa fulfillment as an artist, as an actor. Para sa kaniya sabi, kakaiba 'yung fulfillment niya dito sa pelikulang ito,” Dingdong said.
Yesterday, Dingdong marked his 44th birthday with his family and enjoyed a quiet breakfast with Marian and their children Zia and Sixto.
Now that he is in his 40s, Dingdong admitted to Nelson Canlas that his priorities have already changed.
He added that his prayer is that he gets enough energy and strength to do all these priorities in the coming days and years.
Dong shared, “I don't want to think of it that way, pero siyempre nag-e-evolve rin 'yung mga gusto mo sa buhay. Dahil siyempre di ba as you age, 'yung mahalagang bagay sa 'yo dati. Ngayon para sa 'yo, hindi na mahalaga yan, mas nagkakaroon ka ng ibang prayoridad.
“It is just my prayers always na kung ano man ang maging priorities ko sa panahon na 'to and in the future e sana magkaroon ako ng lakas always to achieved it. And not just for myself but more importantly for my family.”
