Dingdong Dantes just launched his online food marketplace and delivery app aptly named DingDong PH.
And what a better way to immerse himself into his logistics business than to experience it first hand and be a delivery rider.
Now that Dingdong is working under a flexible schedule since finishing his taping for Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation), the actor and entrepreneur announced today, December 17, that he will personally deliver five orders of limited edition Christmas baskets specially curated for DingDong PH.
Dingdong said, "Dahil sa sobrang busy ng aming partner riders ngayong season, medyo kailangan na ng back up!
"Preparing my gears because I will be personally delivering five (5) orders of DingDong's Christmas Baskets in the coming days.
"So whether you have been naughty or nice, we'll check your list twice and make sure we deliver the right goodies to your doorsteps as a surprise!"
Last November, Dingdong was also spotted delivering packages on the road.
In an Instagram post, he shared a photo of him with his Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation) co-star Neil Ryan Sese who owns K&G Seafood, a partner merchant of DingDong PH.
Dingdong stated, "Rivals on TV, but tag team (and proud) delivery boys in real life."
In another photo, Dingdong, clad in full motorcycle safety gear, posed beside his life-size standee which he captioned "Delivery fulfilled."
DingDong PH app is not yet available on digital distribution services like Play Store and Apple Store. Interested customers can place their orders via Linktree or Facebook Messenger.
DingDong PH was born out of the Kapuso actor's desire to help Filipinos whose jobs have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, employing displaced workers of the entertainment industry as its riders.
Aside from Dingdong, many celebrities have also launched their own businesses during the time of COVID-19. Get to know them in this gallery:
