Kapuso Primetime King, Dingdong Dantes proposed to his Queen, Marian Rivera not once, but twice. What made Dingdong decide to propose again?


He told Aubrey Carampel of 24 Oras, “You know, I can do it over and over again. I can do it for the third, fourth or fifth time. That’s how serious I am.”

Even Marian was taken by surprise when Dingdong proposed to her during his guesting in her birthday episode in Marian. The original plan was to make a public announcement about their engagement, but Dingdong had something else in mind.

He decided to propose for a second time because he felt that there were so many things left unsaid when he first proposed to Marian in a butterfly dome in MGM, Macau last 2012.

“This time, much better and espesyal na siya dahil tulad ng pangako namin sa tao, sa aming mga kaibigan na in time, malalaman nila and that they will be part of it,” said the Kapuso Primetime King.

Yesterday, August 12 was Marian’s 30th birthday, but before celebrating with his fiancé, Dingdong fulfilled his duties first as the Commissioner-at-Large of the National Youth Commission. He attended the closing ceremonies of International Youth Day.

He shared that he and Marian celebrated her birthday by having a simple dinner together.
