
Kapuso actor Dion Ignacio reconnected with his youth as he gets back into roller blading this quarantine.
As early as February this year, he has shared a few videos of him skating in a quiet corner of their subdivision.
He shared another video of him back in March skating at night to avoid cars and pedestrians.
This month, he is seen skating during the day as he is filmed a by friend on a bike.
"Cruising around the neighborhood," he wrote.
Dion honed his skills as he skates near the gate of their subdivision.
He shared another video which seems to have been filmed using a 360 camera. In the video, Dion is seen skating and smoothly jumping on sidewalks.
He has also mastered a quick way to stop.
Dion has also skated with a few of his friends.
"Night rolling with my bros," his caption reads.
He shows off his impressive speed in his latest video.
"Having fun with my wheels," he says.
Inline skating as a hobby became popular during the late 80s and early 90s when inline skates became commercially available.
It is popularly called roller blading, especially by 90s kids, as Rollerblades were the most popular and accessible brand of inline skates during that time.
Dion is part of GMA Afternoon Prime series Magkaagaw which is currently on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
