Divine Lee with daughter Blanca

“We had @blancaleego blessed together with our friends and family via Zoom,” says Divine Lee as she recounts the blessing of her child yesterday.

In an unusual turn of events due to the coronavirus pandemic, TV personality Divine Lee-Go had her daughter, Blanca, blessed via conference call.

As documented in Divine's personal Instagram account, she described the ceremony as the “epitome of the new normal.”

“We had @blancaleego blessed together with our friends and family via Zoom. She was scheduled to be baptized in May (sabay with Baz's second birthday para tipid) but since we had to postpone, Father @titocaluag suggested a Zoom blessing in the meantime.”

She acknowledged that the ceremony had eased her worries despite only being a temporary replacement to the holy sacrament.

“I was asking Father to make me a prayer for Blanca since she hasn't been baptized and to calm my worries, he opted for a blessing. The first for all of us but none the less special.

“We need all the prayers for our little ones. Not just to protect them from harm but also, after all this, to give them a better world. A kinder one. A caring one. Life is so fleeting and so unpredictable, that my wishes for them are now back to basics --- to grow up healthy, happy, and good.

“As a mom, having her blessed is one less worry for me. Thanks to all our friends and family who “joined,” sa dami namin two pages 'yung Zoom Hahaha!”

At the end of the post, she even cracked a joke saying how she and husband Blake Go were able to scrimp on the ceremony since they didn't have to pay for food or drinks.

“Buti na lang may Tutu party dress and bonnet siya. Tipid 'to ha! Walang pagkain.

“Just kidding! Will give her a proper baptism when we can.”
