Kris Aquino's return to the spotlight has delighted Divine Tetay, who is known for impersonating the Queen of All Media.
During a previous guest appearance on Your Honor!, Divine shared how happy she was to see Kris doing better and recalled the memorable first time they met.
“She's very pleasant, she's very nice. And I'm happy that she's getting a lot better now. We missed her so much. Nobody does it like her,” Divine said.
Divine also looked back on their first encounter, which happened on a game show where Kris learned that she was one of the contestants who impersonated her.
According to Divine, Kris had a playful but clear reminder when she discovered the impersonation.
“It says here na ginagaya mo ako. It's okay, just don't make fun of my kids, magagalit ako,” Divine recalled Kris telling her.
Divine responded, “Okay po, ma'am,” while demonstrating her impersonation of Kris through her voice and mannerisms.
She also imagined how Kris might feel about her portrayal, saying, “Well, if that's the case, I would be so happy talaga. That's really flattering.”
Kris' return to the spotlight comes after years of focusing on her health and recovery.
Most recently, Netflix featured the former talk show host in its latest campaign, introducing her as the chief head of C.H.I.K.A., or Insights and Content Analysis.
In the campaign video released Friday, Kris was shown reporting for her first day in an editing room and giving her candid takes on local television programs airing this month, including GMA's The Master Cutter.
Divine, meanwhile, remains among the entertainers who have kept Kris' iconic persona alive through impersonation, making her return a welcome moment for fans of the Queen of All Media.
