CJ Novato and Nicole Omillo in One More Chance musical

For 'One More Chance The Musical' stars CJ Navato and Nicole Omillo, to each their own if they want to believe in the 'three-month rule.'

CJ Navato and Nicole Omillo became candid when asked if they still believe in the 'three-month rule,' a dating concept that was popularized by the 2007 movie One More Chance starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.

At the opening night of the rerun of PETA's One More Chance, The Musical, CJ and Nicole, who alternately play the roles of Popoy and Basha with Sam Concepcion and Anna Luna, said that they respect everyone's views when it comes to love, relationships, and dating.

"Hindi ko ma-explain 'yung point ni Popoy, e. I don't know. May ibang tao na who would want to be respected with three-month rule but kung feeling mo it's time to love, it's time to love. That's what I believe in," CJ told GMANetwork.com.

Nicole added, "It's 2024, I feel like people just make their own decisions. I feel like, if you feel love, you just feel love, there's no timeline to it. Do you, if you think that like need three months, respect because sometimes people do need it, and sometimes I do need it. No judgment."

Now that One More Chance The Musical rerun is ongoing, both Nicole and CJ were ecstatic about their successful first run.

Nicole said, "For me, guess it's more excited than pressured for some reason because we're doing it again, and it's been fun in the first run. In this run, I bet it's gonna be amazing and marami na namang mangyayari dahil marami kaming mga bagong ginagawa, so 'yun 'yung nakaka-pressure."

"Since we had a good first run, I guess, 'yun pressure naman for people to invite medyo, we know na ma-e-enjoy siya kasi kami na-enjoy namin mag-perform, and I guess it radiates to everybody else."

CJ added, "Ako, I've been so excited kasi parang, I think the whole cast din can say na we're different people coming into this. Kung sino man kami the last run, iba 'to, bagong flavor ulit 'to, it's really fresh. Sobrang nakakatuwa 'to, ang daming bago and ang dami naming energy para ibigay pa 'to."

Can Nicole and CJ relate to Basha and Popoy?

She answered, "Yes, we do have similarities, pero feeling ko not just me, I feel like a lot of people can relate to Basha dahil we all start to discover new things about ourselves, and we want to try to explore that. I feel like that's something I can connect with passion, heart-broken wise, there's something you have to let go to explore things."

"But I really get where he's coming from, I understand 'yung pain, 'yung pressure. Ang saya i-arte 'yung character for me, it's a delight to perform on stage."
