Dolly De Leon has reached another milestone in her career as she gets an invite to join The Academy.
Filipino international actress Dolly De Leon was invited, together with other Hollywood stars, to join the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences, the organization behind the prestigious Oscar Awards.
As reported by ABC News, Dolly, together with singer Taylor Swift, who will be having her Eras Tour; Oscars best supporting actor winner Ke Huy Quan; Elvis star Austin Butler, and The Weeknd, among others have been invited to join The Academy.
The Academy invited a total of 398 individuals comprised of actors, directors, and executives, with 22 of them being Oscar winners while 76 are nominees.
Aside from Dolly, majority of invitees came from outside the US, including RRR actors Ram Charan and NT Rama Rao Jr., Holy Spider star Zar Amir-Ebrahimi, Shoplifters actress Sakura Ando, Phantom Thread star Vicky Kreips and Decision to Leave's Park Hae-il.
Dolly rose to global fame when she starred in the satire film Triangle of Sadness and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, and at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
Aside from her nominations and invite to the Academy, Dolly will also star in the second season of the international mystery-thriller series Nine Perfect Strangers together with Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman, Luke Evans, and Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto.
