Dolly de Leon on being part of 'Forgotten Island': "Over the moon with excitement and Pinoy pride"

International actress Dolly de Leon is beaming with excitement after it was announced that she will be part of the Philippine mythology-inspired animated movie titled Forgotten Island by American film studio DreamWorks.

Forgotten Island features a powerhouse cast of Pinoy talents like Filipina-American musician HER, comedian Jo Koy, Amielynn Abellera, and Liza Soberano, together with Hollywood actor Manny Jacinto and Broadway star Lea Salonga.

Also part of the talented cast is Crazy Rich Asian actor Ronny Chieng.

With this confirmation, Dolly expressed her excitement to be chosen as a voice actor for this movie slated to be released on September 25, 2026.

Dolly posted on her Instagram page, “Over the moon with excitement and Pinoy pride to share Forgotten Island with the world! Nakakaproud maging pinoy. Thank you, @dreamworks, @joel.crawford.art and @janimatedultd for putting our stories out there.”

Dolly is currently part of the American TV series Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2. Many are looking forward for her role as twins Lo and Li, the fire-bending mentors to Azula, in the popular Netflix live action-series Avatar: The Last Airbender.
