Netizens are once again buzzing online after an uplifting update from veteran country music legend Dolly Parton.
This comes after her sister Freida's social media post asking prayers for Dolly.
In a recent Instagram video, the American singer happily assured fans that she's doing well and back on schedule.
"I know lately everybody thinks that I'm sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I'm working hard," Dolly said with her signature charm.
She also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and love from fans during her recovery. The country icon clarified that her health challenge wasn't serious.
"So I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of. So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctors said 'we need to take care of this' and 'we need to take care of that'. Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things," she explained.
Dolly also addressed the growing speculations about her health.
"There's a lot of rumors flying around, and I figured if you heard it from me, you'd know that I'm okay," she added.
The veteran artist ended her video with an empowering (and a humorous) statement that touched many fans. "I'm not ready to die yet. I don't think God is through with me, and I ain't done working."
Her message came shortly after her sister Freida Parton asked the public for prayers following Dolly's concert postponements in Las Vegas.
As fans read Freida's post, many grew concerned while others began to speculate about Dolly's condition. Some even connected the situation to the country star's recent mourning of her late husband, Carl Dean, who passed away earlier this year.
Dolly Parton remains one of the most beloved and influential figures in music, known for her timeless hits such as “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “Islands in the Stream.”
