
As Hollywood continues to mourn the late country music legend Dolly Parton, new concerns sparked online after her Hollywood Walk of Fame star was vandalized.
Following an outpouring of tributes from fans at the landmark, many noticed that the star had been badly damaged.
Photos shared online showed Dolly's star covered with scratches, with her name visibly defaced.
With reports of the damage, the Hollywood Historic Trust and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced plans to replace the country music legend's star.
"The Hollywood Historic Trust and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce are proud to honor the legacy of Dolly Parton with a replacement of her star."
On September 5, the new star was unveiled on Hollywood Boulevard, near the Egyptian Theatre.

Dolly Parton passed away at the age of 80 following reports shared after a “brief battle with cancer.”
Her death was announced by her family, who said she passed away peacefully in Nashville, Tennessee. In accordance with her wishes, a private service was held for her immediate family.
Fans and fellow celebrities have since mourned and honored the icon with tributes online and memorial gatherings.
