Dominic also looked back on their trip to Japan in 2019, which Khalil described as the beginning of their love story.
Dominic Roque cleared that he and Bea Alonzo didn't hide their relationship as they were just waiting for the right time to make it public.
On his guesting on Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos's podcast Figure It Out, Dominic looked back on their California trip together where they posted pictures together.
"Ito 'yung first time na nakapag-travel ako with someone," he said. “Maraming may alam pero ito 'yung time na nakapag-out kami. So, 'di ba, hindi mo na iniisip 'yung mga galaw mo, sasabihin mo. You can be yourself, 'yun 'yung masarap sa feeling."
He added, "Siguro kasi right moment. 'Yun nga 'yung lagi kong sinasabi sa lahat ng ginagawa ko sa buhay ko is God's perfect time. Siguro ito lang din 'yung time na ibinigay sa amin para lumabas kami together, 'di ba? So very thankful na ginuide kami ni Lord sa journey namin together."
According to Dominic, age was a factor in making their relationship public. "Siguro kailangan na ring [gawing public] kasi tumatanda na rin ako, e."
When asked about if it was worth it, the 31-year-old actor replied, "Sobrang worth it."
Unknown to many, Gabbi, Khalil, Dominic, and Bea went to Japan in October 2019.
According to Khalil, this trip to Japan marked the beginning of Dominic and Bea's love story.
"Doon ang ano 'di ba, ang simula ng storya ng iyong journey of love?" Khalil asked Dominic.
Before Dominic could answer, Gabbi explained why she and Khalil went to Japan at that time. She recalled, "Nung 2019 kasi nag-Japan kami ni Khalil for Halloween, isa 'yun sa mga trips na looking forward kami. Sa kalagitnaan ng trip namin, si Papa Doms nag-text kay Khalil."
Khalil added, "Oo, biglang, 'Uy, papunta ako d'yan.' Parang pupunta lang ng QC."
According to Dominic, he was supposed to go to Zambales at that time but instead he joined Bea, who was also going to Japan.
He explained, "Actually, ininvite nila akong pumunta, so nag-isip na ako, 'Pupunta ba ako doon?' Tapos ang dami kong kaibigan na nandoon, 'di ba? Nagkausap kami ni Bea noon kasi dapat pupunta kami ng Zambales with Mark Nicdao."
Mark Nicdao is a fashion and entertainment photographer.
Dominic continued, "Sabi ni Mark, 'Dom, punta tayo ng Zambales. Invite mo sina Bey if gusto nilang sumama.' I messaged Bea kung gusto nila sumama. So I messaged Bea, 'Hon,' ay wala pa palang hon noon. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Sabi ko, 'Bey, baka gusto mo sumama nagyaya si Mark mag-Zambales.' Sabi niya, 'Ay sayang pupunta kami ng Japan.'”
He added, "'Uhhh, sama ko,' sabi ko sa kanya sa message. Sabi niya, 'Tara!' So napaisip ako sabi ko…sasama ba ako? So 'yun sabi nung kaibigan ko, 'Sama ka!' And the rest is history."
