'Descendants' star Dove Cameron on Cameron Boyce: 'Catch you in the next life.'

American actress and singer Dove Cameron recently took to social media to honor the memory of one of her closest friends, the late actor Cameron Boyce.

On Instagram, Dove shared a series of cherished photos with Cameron. One of them included behind-the-scenes moments from their Descendants days alongside fellow co-stars Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart.

In the caption, Dove's simple yet heartfelt message moved many fans. " I still feel you all the time. Catch you in the next life. Happy birthday. I love you," she wrote.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of love and support, both for Dove and in memory of Cameron. Many also shared their favorite memories of the actor from his roles in several shows.

Dove and Cameron were part of the beloved cast of Disney Channel's Descendants trilogy, which ran from 2015 to 2019. The two were known for their close bond both on and off screen.

Cameron sadly passed away in 2019 at just 20 years old. At the time, a spokesperson confirmed that he died in his sleep due to a seizure caused by an "ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated."

The loss of Cameron deeply affected Dove, who has been open about their friendship and her grief in past interviews and posts.

Since his passing, Dove has continued to flourish in her solo music career. She released her debut single “Bloodshot” in 2019 and later achieved viral success with her hit “Boyfriend” in 2023. Most recently, she dropped new singles “Too Much” and “French Girls” earlier in May of this year.
