Voltes V: Legacy drew strong viewership as it introduced a new iconic character in its Thursday (July 13, 2023) episode.

The said episode features Dr. Hook, the new commander of Camp Big Falcon following Dr. Smith's (Albert Martinez) death. In the live-action adaptation series. Dr. Hook is played by Neil Ryan Sese.

Voltes V: Legacy's July 13 episode earned a combined rating of 13.6 percent, based on the preliminary overnight data of the Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) People Ratings acquired by Nielsen Philippines.

During Dr. Smith's burial, Boazanian flying saucers attacked the CBF, damaging the main computer and causing them to lose their force barrier.

When the Voltes V team was about to volt in, Little Jon's frigate failed to do so, forcing him to go back to the camp to repair it. Commander Robinson (Gabby Eigenmann) panicked, realizing the need for a new chief to lead and command the CBF.

The stern and quick-witted Dr. Hook then arrived. As soon as he led the operations, he fixed what caused Volt Frigate's problem which later on revealed the bomb that the humanoid Ned installed in Little Jon's vehicle.

The arrival of Dr. Hook poses a new hope for Camp Big Falcon after the Boazanians infiltrated the Voltes V headquarters.
