Kapuso and C-drama fans, the wait is over tonight as the multi-awarded Chinese medical drama Dr. Tang will air on Philippine television tonight at 11:30 p.m. on GMA.
Dr. Tang will revolve around the life of Chinese surgeon Dr. Tang who came back to China to continue her passion for medicine after she finished her studies abroad.
Her hope for the future of Chinese medicine will falter, however, because of the problems in the hospital that await her.
Some of these setbacks are problems with misogyny, patriarchy, workmates, and romance.
How will Dr. Tang steer on the right path as a surgeon and head of Heart Center if their institution is dominated by men who think they are superior to women?
Can Dr. Tang triumph over patriarchy and misogyny, especially after they have been in the work culture for many years?
How about her other co-workers? Will they side with the women empowerment that Dr. Tang fights for? Or will they favor the tradition?
And after all these misfortunes, will Dr. Tang even find time for romance? And if she did, would it be for the better or for worse?
Catch Qin Lan as Dr. Tang, Huang Jue as Frank, Wei Da Xun as Nate, and Gao Lu as Sienna on Dr. Tang, Monday to Friday at 11:30 p.m. after Shooting Stars on GMA.
