Showbiz power couple Drew Arellano and Iya Villlania, who got married on February this year, have no plans of getting pregnant anytime soon.

According to Drew, their timelines say that the best time for having a baby is in two to three years.

“Target talaga namin ay 2016. Gates will be open,” he said.

One of the primary reasons is that they want to treasure the time that they have as a couple. If they establish a stronger partnership before entering a new chapter, they trust that their family life will be founded on solid ground too.

“We love kids but the thing is, I think, we need to prioritize our relationship as husband and wife. I think, if ever your foundation will be solid as husband and wife, then it will trickle down when you have kids,” he said.

Their fun personalities just jive and Drew admits that he feels that they are young kids at playtime.

“We are having such a great time. Para kaming nag-ba-bahay-bahayan. We were boyfriend ang girlfriend for nearly ten years (but we never really had the opportunity to stay under one roof… Ngayon lang namin na-e-enjoy,” the host added.

Even after almost a decade of being in a relationship, they still learn new things about each other, especially now that they’re living together.

“We love staying at home… Na-discover ko na siya ay mahilig maglinis. Nalaman ko na enjoy pala ako sa kitchen. Nalaman ko na mas gugustuhin kong magluto kaysa maglinis, so ako 'yung nagluluto, siya yung naglilinis,” he shared.

Drew makes sure that he doesn’t just cook basic dishes. He wants every meal with his wife to be special.

“So it’s just really fun to cook for her… Hindi pwede basic eh. Sometimes kailangan mo ng variety at kailangan mo pasayahin 'yung asawa mo, so iba 'yung may excitement,” he disclosed.
