The Kapuso couple gives us an inside look into their married life. Find out what Drew and Iya shared with Suzi Abrera and Arnold Clavio on 'Unang Hirit.'
By BEA RODRIGUEZ

Kapuso stars Drew Arellano and Iya Villania sat on Unang Hirit’s hot seat yesterday (June 15) to share with hosts Suzi Abrera and Arnold Clavio their experiences as a married couple for more than a year now.

Not much has changed in their 11-year relationship except for their responsibilities at home which they accommodate out of their busy schedules in showbiz.

They kept on passing the baton on who to speak first about their marriage, but it seems like Iya has a magical spell cast on Drew so he didn’t have any choice.

“Siyempre, masaya, ‘di ba? Parang minsan lang kami… minsan lang kami matulog sa isang kama. I mean, before so parang it’s weird na… parati kaming nagdadasal. Siya 'yung nagdadasal para sa akin,” Drew held his wife’s hand.

Mrs. Arellano made the Biyahe ni Drew host laugh hard when she said, “Masaya pala maglinis ng bahay. Masaya pala siya” since it’s her who’s in charge of the cleanliness of their household.

The power couple then took Arnold’s challenge of “Isang Tanong, Isang Sagot” by literally pointing a foam finger to the person who applies in a certain situation.

They revealed in the morning program that it was Drew who wakes up first; whereas, Iya snores loudly and moves frequently while asleep.

We know the dynamic duo are adventurous, but they publicized it’s the actor who explores more.

Furthermore, fingers were pointed to the Chika Minute host for being stingy, taking long baths, and finding reasons to be jealous.

However, the Arellanos admitted they both enjoy the company of children and would fight because of it.

Both said they are equally affectionate and patient to each other. They even raised a high five for answering the questions well.

In addition, Unang Hirit showed interesting pictures of the couple taken from social media. Among the photos posted online, Drew doing the dishes got the most likes according to the actress because it only happens once in a blue moon.

Another photo featured is one of Drew’s travels to Batanes where he brought along Mrs. A. to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple.

The show also flashed Iya’s first Ironman 70.3 international race in Vietnam. Drew was so proud of his wife, “Nakita ko kasi 'yung sobra 'yung dedication niya, devotion niya tapos kahit minsan ayaw niyang tumakbo, kailangan niyang tumakbo dahil para lang maganda 'yung magiging resulta niya at performance sa Vietnam. When she crossed the finished line, I was like, ‘Wow!’”

And who smells the underarms of a grown up man? Only the actress-host does it, and she did it again on the show, “Ang bango naman kasi eh. 'Yung nakakainis kasi dito, kahit pawisin na, mabango pa rin eh.”

The couple showed they are having a blast in their married life.
God bless, love birds!
