Here are two healthy lunch meals you didn't know you could make in the toaster oven.

Did you know that a toaster oven is the perfect cooking tool for almost anything you can think of? Very much so! While this little oven does toast bread, it can do a whole lot more.

A toaster oven is not only more energy-efficient than a regular oven, but it can also brown and crisp food in a way that a microwave can't.

It's the perfect kitchen appliance to rely on when you don't want to heat up the kitchen and cook healthy meals in a jiffy.

Toasted Egg Cheese Sandwich

Did you know that eggs are the perfect breakfast for athletes who want to build lean muscle? Meanwhile, cheese is a great source of calcium, fat, and protein. So why not try combining them and cooking it in a toaster oven?

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat your toaster oven.
  2. Punch a hole in the center of a loaf using a round cookie cutter or a glass mug.
  3. Place the egg inside the hole of the loaf and garnish with parsley leaves, cheese, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Bake for five to 10 minutes inside the oven.
  5. Remove and let cool and eat to your heart's content.

Baked sweet potato with broccoli

Sweet potatoes are not only sweet, but they also provide several health benefits and are easy to add to your diet. This baked sweet potato with broccoli is full of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are advantageous to your gut health.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat your toaster oven.
  2. Cut your sweet potatoes in half, then insert broccoli inside
  3. Garnish your sweet potatoes with cheese and wrap them in aluminum foil.
  4. Cook the sweet potato inside the oven until the cheese melts.
  5. Garnish with cayenne pepper and enjoy!

Embrace your toaster oven for all the amazing things it can do inside your kitchen. Just because you feel lazy doesn't mean you have to go the unhealthy route when it comes to your diet.
