Elijah Alejo went on a trip to South Korea back in November and shared her experience in her latest YouTube vlog.

In the first part of the video, the Cruz vs. Cruz actress said that she had been struggling with her eyesight and revealed that she will be going to South Korea for her SMILE Lasik Pro procedure.

She then went on to explain the difference of the said eye procedure to the traditional Lasik.

“Ang ibig sabihin ng SMILE is small incision lenticule extraction eye surgery. Nung ni-research ko siya, mas okay sa akin 'yung SMILE kaysa sa Lasik itself kasi 'yung SMILE, meron siyang keyhole incision. Whereas 'yung Lasik, flap cut siya. So sa SMILE, mas onti lang 'yung nerves na maka-cut.

“Isa pa sa na-search ko is sa SMILE, since mas onti lang 'yung nerves na na-cut, mas na-reduce 'yung risk niya ng dry eyes. And pagdating sa higher and lower correction ng mata, mas accurate 'yung SMILE kasi 'yung Lasik, naka-depende siya sa condition," she said.

Elijah then said that both eye procedures are safe and effective for vision correction, but she felt more at ease with the SMILE Lasik Pro. The Sparkle star also shared that she looked for an agency that focused on medical tourism.

In her trip, Elijah was joined by her mom, handler, and fellow Sparkle actress Shanelle Agustin.

When they arrived in South Korea, they strolled around the streets of Myeongdong and tried out delicious Korean street food and meals.
