Actor Elijah Canlas has officially announced that his latest film, 'Rumaragasa', will have its international premiere at the prestigious 76th Berlin International Film Festival.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, January 14, actor Elijah Canlas announced that his latest film, Rumaragasa, with the international name Raging, has been selected for its international premiere in Berlin, Germany.
The film, which Elijah both stars in and co-produced, will be featured in the 76th Berlinale Panorama section from February 12 to 22, 2026.
He expressed pride and overwhelming gratitude regarding the film's selection.
“More than proud to announce that Rumaragasa (RAGING) will have its international premiere at the 76th Berlinale Panorama section on Feb 12-22, 2026,” Elijah wrote in the caption.
In the post, he reflected on the dual role of actor and co-producer, describing it as his “toughest” yet deeply “rewarding” chapter of his film career.
“One of the toughest yet most rewarding journeys I've had working on a film for sure. extremely honored to be an actor and co-producer for this,” he wrote.
“Will forever treasure the magical experience of Sibuyan island,” he continued.
Directed by Ryan Machado, Rumaragasa appears to carry a heavy emotional and social weight.
In his announcement, Elijah extended his gratitude to the director and the entire team, while concluding the post with a call to action.
“Congratulations, direk ryan at sa lahat ng bumubuo ng 'Raging'! Forever grateful for each of you,” Elijah expressed.
“Patuloy sana tayo lumaban sa lahat ng uri ng abuso. Patuloy sana tayo maging mabuti sa kapwa at kalikasan,” he added.
Set in 1990s Sibuyan, Rumaragasa follows a teenager seeking justice and healing after a traumatic assault, a journey complicated by his witness to a mysterious plane crash.
Elijah Canlas leads the cast alongside Ron Angeles, Reynald Raissel Santos, Glenn Sevilla Mas, and Rodney Galicha.
Beyond this success, Elijah is also preparing for the release of his debut hip-hop album, which he views as a personal outlet for storytelling separate from his acting roles.
