Elijah Canlas penned a touching message in memory of his late younger brother, JM.
Award-winning actor Elijah Canlas touched the hearts of netizens after sharing a deeply emotional tribute to his late younger brother, JM Canlas, marking three years since his passing.
In an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), Elijah poured out his ongoing grief, reflecting on the weight of time and the enduring aching loss of his younger sibling.
“3 years feels like it's forever,” Elijah wrote.
“I miss you so f*cking much, JM. Sana lagi kang payapa at masaya. I pray for that every single day,” he added.
Reflecting on the emotional journey since his brother's passing, Elijah shared that time has done little to dull the pain, though his bond with JM remains unbreakable.
“Hindi kailanman mawawala ang sakit. Please wait for me. Mahal na mahal na mahal ka ni kuya habambuhay,” he expressed.
The heart-wrenching post quickly resonated across social media, drawing a wave of sympathy from fans. Many flooded the comments with virtual hugs, prayers, and words of encouragement for Elijah.

The Canlas family has consistently advocated for mental health awareness following JM's untimely passing, encouraging open conversations and offering support to those struggling in silence.
To keep his memory alive and present in their lives, Elijah and his family established a mental health organization called Kalinga Unawa at Lingap sa Isip at Taglay or KULIT: The JM Canlas Organization.
The organization's name was derived from the nickname Elijah had for JM.
Jamile Matthew “JM” Canlas, a talented former child actor and voice artist, passed away in August 2023 at the age of 17.
During his brief yet impactful career, JM earned praise for his performances in acclaimed projects such as Kiko Boksingero and Unconditional, as well as his voice work in popular animated series, Jet and the Pet Rangers.
