Ellen Adarna on her marriage to Derek Ramsay: "Hindi ako lugi kay Derek, hindi rin lugi si Derek."

Ellen Adarna finally addressed one of the most pressing questions about her marriage to actor Derek Ramsay--if they have ever considered having a prenuptial agreement.

In a now-expired Instagram Story, Ellen was politely asked by a follower, “I know both you and your husband are both well-off but did you guys ever consider [a] prenup agreement?”

Ellen responded, “So many people ask me and Derek this and this is a very personal question so let's put it this way, hindi ako lugi kay Derek, hindi rin lugi si Derek sa akin so patas and show... [she spoke partly in Visayan)."

Legally, a prenuptial agreement is an agreement voluntarily made by a couple prior to marriage, which usually concerns about their respective assets and what will happen to these in case their marriage ends.

Many celebrities have also agreed on a prenup just like A-list couple Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero and Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista.

In Heart's recent vlog, they partly discussed the topic of having a prenup and why they chose to have one.

They explained that the prenup was suggested by no less than the late Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago who bridged them together.

Both coming from wealthy families, Ellen and Derek have always been intrigued about their individual assets. At one point, Ellen denied rumors that she is paying off Derek's debts. Simply laughing it off, Ellen answered that she is not the type of woman to make herself a “sugar mommy.”
