Rising boxing champ Eman Bacosa Pacquiao feels a mix of nerves and excitement as he embarks on his journey into acting with first role in the series 'Never Say Die'.
It was recently announced that Sparkle star and young boxer Eman Bacosa Pacquiao will appear in the GMA Prime series Never Say Die.
He has already begun filming and has worked alongside the show's cast, including Jillian Ward, David Licauco, Raheel Bhyria, and Kim Ji-soo.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Eman shared his experience venturing into television with fellow Kapuso stars.
According to the young boxing champ, he initially felt nervous because this is a new endeavor for him, far removed from his usual environment inside the boxing ring.
“Siyempre masaya, kinakabahan ako sa simula kasi 'di ko alam 'yung mga gagawin ko kasi hindi ako sanay sa mga ganitong bagay,” Eman said.
Eman also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Jillian, Raheel, David, and Kim.
“Super blessed din at the same time kasi makaka-work ko sina Jillian Ward, Raheel Bhyria, David Licauco, Kim Ji-Soo,” he expressed.
The Sparkle star was also asked which between boxing and acting he feels more nervous about. He quickly shared his thoughts, highlighting the differences between the two fields he is both now part of.
“Actually, iba 'yung kaba nila. Sa boxing naman, 'yung kaba kasi baka mamali ka ng galaw, baka tamaan ka ng big shot. Dito naman [sa showbiz], bawat galaw mo nakakakaba. Bawal magkamali. Very exciting pero nakakakaba,” Eman shared.
Eman also shared some of the preparations he made before heading to the set for filming.
“Konting review sa linya, tapos konting memorize; tingin sa salamin kung tama ba 'yung ginagawa ko,” he said.
The young Sparkle star also shared the advice his Never Say Die co-stars gave him as he stepped in front of the camera for the first time as a full-fledged actor.
“Ang sabi lang nila sa akin ay kung kinakabahan daw ba ako, siyempre sabi ko naman, oo. Sabi lang nila huwag daw ako kabahan, aalalayan daw nila ako. Na-enjoy ko naman lahat ng moments sa Never Say Die,” said Eman during his interview.
