Emma Tiglao: "My heart aches for my country drowned by corruption, for the lives lost to earthquakes and typhoons... Let love be the grandest voice to peace."
Ginamit ni Emma Tiglao ang Miss Grand International stage para iparating ang kanyang nararamdaman tungkol sa nangyayaring korapsyon at kalamidad sa Pilipinas.
Sa kanyang Top 10 speech, sinabi ni Emma Tiglao na bilang isang journalist, masakit sa puso niya na makita ang bansa na nalulunod sa korapsyon, gayundin ang mga buhay na kinuha ng nagdaang mga lindol at bagyo.
"As a journalist, my heart aches for my country drowned by corruption, for the lives lost to earthquakes and typhoons, and for journalists like Mariam Abu Dagga from Gaza, who died for truth," sabi niya.
Pagpapatuloy ni Emma, "We are not born in fear but to hope, to love, and to live in peace. Peace begins when parents teach children with compassion, leaders embody humility, youth find their purpose, and when we live with empathy and kindness. Let love be the grandest voice to peace."
Si Emma Tiglao ang kinoronahan bilang Miss Grand International 2025, ang ikalawang korona ng Pilipinas sa naturang beauty pageant kasunod ni CJ Opiaza.
