Epy and Eric Quizon

Epy and Eric Quizon pen a heartfelt tribute for their father, Dolphy, on his death anniversary.

Quizon siblings Epy and Eric took to social media to honor their late father, the King of Philippine Comedy, Dolphy Quizon.

In an Instagram post, the two shared a photo of the comedy icon with his awards displayed in the background. Epy then penned a heartfelt message in the caption.

"Of all the awards my father received throughout his lifetime, the greatest one was never placed on a shelf or displayed in a trophy case. It is the enduring love he continues to receive from Filipinos around the world," he wrote.

Remembering Dolphy's 14th death anniversary, the director-actor reflected on his father's continuing legacy.

"Fourteen years after he left us, he is still remembered, celebrated, and loved. His legacy lives on not just through his work, but through the countless hearts he touched and the joy he brought to generations. That kind of love is the greatest award anyone could ever receive," he continued.

Followers quickly sent messages of love and tribute in the comments, including family members Michelle Quizon, Mikyle Quizon, as well as actress Eugene Domingo.

Dolphy passed away in 2012 at the age of 83 and was laid to rest at Heritage Park in Taguig City.

He was a father of 18 children, including Eric and Epy with his ex-partner Pamela Ponti.

Dolphy is remembered as one of the Philippines' greatest comedians, whose work in television and film entertained generations of Filipinos. Among his most iconic projects are John en Marsha (1973), Omeng Satanasia (1977), Home Along da Riles (1992), and Markova Comfort Gay (2000).
