Erich Gonzales flew to Thailand to cheer on her husband, Mateo Lorenzo, and sister-in-law, Paola Lorenzo, as they represented the Philippines in equestrian events at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.
Erich Gonzales proved to be a proud and supportive wife and sister-in-law as she flew to Thailand to cheer for her husband, Mateo Lorenzo, and his sister, Paola Lorenzo, during the Southeast Asian Games 2025.
The actress shared glimpses of the equestrian competitions through her Instagram Stories on Friday, December 19, posting clips from Paola's event as well as moments from the announcement of winners.
In one of the videos, Gonzales could be heard enthusiastically cheering for Paola from the sidelines. She was also seen warmly hugging her sister-in-law after the latter's performance, celebrating the moment together as a family.
The Equestrian Association of the Philippines shared that Paola, 25, delivered a strong performance in the show jumping event at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games, earning a silver medal in the individual category, while Mateo is scheduled to take on his competition riding It's a Men GR, a 12-year-old bay gelding.
Erich and Mateo went public with their relationship in 2018 and later exchanged vows in a simple wedding ceremony held in Alabang, Muntinlupa City in March 2022, with rumors emerging in April that the famously private couple may already be parents, after photos of the couple in a baby's baptism ceremony circulate online. They have yet to address publicly.
