Erik Johnson Chua has issued a statement to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) regarding his involvement in the proliferation of the sex videos of Dr. Hayden Kho and several women, including
Katrina Halili.
Erik was once a very close friend of Hayden, but he has now been named by Optical Media Board chairman Edu Manzano as the person who leaked the sex videos to the general public.
Hayden himself, in a television interview, has hinted that he suspects that the persons who leaked the video are friends of his who are angry with him for wrongs he has committed. There is strong buzz that Hayden is referring to Erik Chua and to Bistek Rosario.
Erik has told PEP that he is a management engineering graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University, Class 2001. Contrary to media reports, Erik is not a doctor and neither is he a fraternity brother of Hayden. The fellow says he is a businessman, although he stops short of mentioning the business he is engaged in. He also refuses to give his age.
Erik has denied any participation in the spread of the sex videos.
His statement, sent to PEP earlier this afternoon through a text message, reads in full:
"I have no participation in the uploading and attempt to sell the
Hayden Kho sex videos. All allegations relating thereto are false, and will be dealt with by my family in the appropriate forum and at the proper time."
