"Tao lang ako, alright. It happens."
This is a part of the video where Erwan Heussaff explained himself from the 'taho' video that went viral two years ago.
According to Erwan, he became part of a popular food and travel video network called Tastemade. One of the things that he prepared for a series of recipe videos was the traditional Filipino staple food, taho.
He recalled how it all started: “A couple of years ago, I was invited by Tastemade to go to the US and shoot some cooking videos. For someone from the Philippines that was such a huge deal and I was so excited. I arrived there just planning to be the absolute best Tastemaker I could be and just say yes to everything and be really friendly to everyone. Everyone there was absolutely great. One of the recipes that I had to do was taho.”
However, the taho didn't come out as planned. He continued by admitting that even though his video reached 100,000 views, it also reaped 100,000 negative feedback from netizens.
“We did a taho recipe which is now infamously famous on the internet. It just did a 100,000 views on Tastemade but it did 100,000 pissed off views on Tastemade.”
Watch how Erwan redeem himself from the “taho scandal” that haunted him for two years.
