Food content creator Erwan Heussaff sat down for an interview with content creator Ninong Ry where he honestly shared what he thought about being compared with the late Anthony Bourdain.

Bourdain, the popular American celebrity chef and documentarist, passed away back in June 2018.

Ninong Ry asked Erwan, “Ano masasabi mo dun sa mga taong sinasabi na you are the closest thing, at least sa Pilipinas, to Anthony Bourdain?”

Erwan answered, “I mean there's no right way to answer that, if I am be very transparent and honest. I don't know about you, but I don't watch a lot of things in my industry, so, I don't watch a lot of cooking stuff." He then added, “I watch for research. That's why I don't like to do it, 'cause it becomes work. And, you can't relax.

“So, I like to watch things that are completely [different], like I love medical dramas—Greys Anatomy, House, stuff like that. I used to love watching like Friends."

Ninong Ry again asked Erwan, “Wala kang issue kapag sinasabi ng tao sa 'yo you don't take offense na you are the closest thing that we have?”

And the face of the YouTube channel 'FEATR' answered back, “If I'm anything like Bourdain, I mean amazing! [laughs]

“Like for me it's a compliment. If someone saying copying [Bourdain], I mean you are influenced by so many things. And also the way I am, the way I talk, you've known me for a while this is how I am. This is what I'm interested in right now. So, you never gonna see me doing a food crawl, where I'm just happy [and] go lucky and just making jokes. That's not my thing.”
