“This is a short animated film adaptation of the children's book written by Gawad Balagtas awardee, Augie Rivera. This remarkable project aims to raise awareness against all forms of abuse against children.
“Producer/Director Rico Gutierrez says it took a long time for him to finish this dream project and now, 'Ang Lihim ni Lea' is going places and earning awards and citations.
“Congratulations!”
Ang Lihim ni Lea or Lea's Secret tells the story of a girl named Lea who believes she has a superpower when in reality, it's her coping mechanism to forget about the abuse she receives from her father.
The children's book was written by Augie Rivera and was published by the Adarna House and Soroptimist International of Hope Baguio in 2007.
