American rock band Green Day postpones shows in Asia due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) concerns.
American rock band Green Day have postponed their shows in Asia due to concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The punk rock band made the announcement via their official Facebook page.
"We have unfortunately made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming shows in Asia due to the health + travel concerns with coronavirus. We know it sucks, as we were looking forward to seeing you all, but hold on to your tickets we'll be announcing the new dates very soon," their statement read.
Green Day was set to have a concert in Manila on March 14 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Aside from this, they also had stops in Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, Hong Kong Seoul, Osaka and Tokyo.
The band's European and North American tour dates are still up on their website.
Other events that have been cancelled in the Philippines due to COVID-19 include EXO's Nature Republic fan meeting and Noah Centineo and Lana Condor's Philippine visit to promote Netflix's All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.
Meanwhile, postponed events include the fan meeting for South Korean variety show Running Man and the concert from '90s boyband 98 Degrees.
