Korean rapper CL is making a comeback with "Lover Like Me."

Korean musician Lee Chae-rin, popularly known as CL, has dropped the official music video for her track "Lover Like Me."

CL co-wrote the song with British singer-songwriter Anne-Marie. The song is mostly in English, with Korean lyrics only appearing in a rap part toward the end of the song. "Lover Like Me" is the second pre-release track from CL's upcoming full album Alpha which is scheduled to come out on October 22. Her first pre-release single “Spicy” came out on August 24.

In February 2021, the former 2NE1 member made a heartwarming tribute to her mother through the song "Wish You Were Here" released on February 26, 2021, which coincided with her 30th birthday. "Wish You Were Here" was written in memory of CL's mother, Hong Yoo-ra, who passed away in January due to heart attack.

CL made headlines earlier this month when she graced The Met Gala, making her one of the first Korean female artists to attend the event. BLACKPINK member Rosé Park also graced The Met Gala this year.

Formerly a 2NE1 member, CL rose to fame as a member of the girl group since it debuted in 2009 until they officially disbanded in 2016.

She left her former music label YG Entertainment in 2019 and later on signed a domestic management contract with Konnect Entertainment to manage her activities in Korea. CL and former 2NE1 members Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Gong Minzy reunited in January for Minzy's birthday celebration.
