Former MTV Asia host Eduard Bañez is set to introduce a new dating app.
In an exchange of messages via e-mail, the former actor revealed that he and his partners are set to launch a new dating app. The idea started after observing a growing number of dating app users.
“According to records, the number of users increased to 366 million in 2022. People devote their time to finding the ideal man and woman. They are still looking for love and connection,” Bañez shared.
Eduard, who is now based in Los Angeles, said people crave human connection, especially in this digital age.
“I love how we can connect with others through dating apps. Some were already in relationships and some were married dahil sa tulong ng dating apps. Pero, minsan, you know, you just want to have fun.”
He continued, “If you're bored, create ka lang ng account and set your profile. It's nice to meet new people.”
One of the key features of their app, Eduard said, “Users are allowed to send virtual gifts. We all know that if we like someone, we offer him or her a present. That is the first phase.
“After each date, you keep a journal in the app where you write everything about the guy or girl you met through this app. We believe that we must be really direct about our feelings. We should tell them immediately whether we like the girl or the guy. It is also part of our push to be free to express ourselves using the app's journaling feature.”
Does Eduard believe relationships that started in dating apps work?
