Ella V's interest in skin care motivated her to create her own beauty products: “Talagang matagal nang mahilig akong magpaganda.”

Ex-Viva Hot Babe Ella V. was in tears as she launched her newest skincare line called VGlow on Saturday, November 12.

“Sobrang happy ako. Naiiyak ako kasi para itong isang produkto na nagsama-sama kaming family and friends. Sobrang happy ko na nandoon pa rin ang support ng Viva Hot Babes, the iconic female group in the Philippines,” Ella V. told GMANetwork.com and other select media and vloggers.

The former actress, who is now based in the U.S., got the full support of her groupmates namely Katya Santos, Jaycee Parker, Rachelle Villanueva, Gwen Garci, and Maricar dela Fuente--who also walked on the ramp during the event.

“This brand was made to prove to everybody na hindi lang basta ganda lang. Hindi lang basta maganda ka, hindi lang basta makagamit ka ng product. Ito ay sa sarili kong paniniwala na kailangan ang mga kababaihan ngayon ay mas lalong maging ehemplo ng ating mga anak, ng ating pamilya. Kasi, ganun naman ang mga Pilipino, di ba, gusto natin laging sama-sama,” said Ella V. in her short speech during the program.

In a separate interview, the former actress said she launched this new business because, “Talagang matagal nang mahilig akong magpaganda. Talagang ano ako pagdating sa skin. I love doing [anything] skin-related--how to take care of yourself, self-love. Siyempre, alangan namang lagi kang haggard-looking, di ba? Kahit may problema ka, pagod ka sa trabaho, importante talaga [ang skin care]. Kumbaga, 'yan ang sinasabing face value, 'di ba?”

Aside from her personal interest, the celebrity businesswoman, who used to be a caregiver, is now a licensed aesthetician in California.

“So, you know, me and my husband, we researched. I also have a good team in the U.S. We looked for a good manufacturing company there to provide what we like and what our clients need,” she explained.

Ella V. was also proud to say that her products are all-natural.

“My product is not just a product na mabibili mo lang kung saan-saan. It's product na made from the U.S.A. and gusto kong ma-distribute dito sa Philippines kasi it's all-natural. Kasi ngayon, 'di ba, nauuso 'yung mga harsh [ingredients]. I don't know exactly yung ingredients, pero ito talaga, masasabi kong I have the best ingredient, which is oxygen plasma. You cannot find that in any product,” she said.

She added, “It has natural ingredients na talaga namang makakatulong sa mga may problematic skin, sensitive skin, and the efficacy, talagang makikita mo siya.”

She also stressed about choosing skincare products, “Hindi naman yung uso, e. It's about taking care of yourself. Huwag tayong makiuso.”

While she's now based in the U.S. Ella V. said she chose to launch her product in the Philippines because, “This is my home. I love my family, I love my friends, so why not share it with them. ”
