"I think Meant To Be has completely changed my life." - Addy Raj

Baguhang aktor si Addy Raj at unang project niya ang pagiging si Jai Patel para sa GMA Telebabad show na Meant To Be. Kalahating taon na ang nakalipas simula nang magsimula ang show, at malaki raw ang nagbago sa buhay niya ngayong taon dahil sa Meant To Be.

Aniya, "I think Meant To Be has completely changed my life. Everything has changed. When it comes to personal life, I hardly go out anymore. I don't even go out for grocery anymore. Before I can go anywhere I want. I live alone, right? It's hard living alone, and now it's even harder because I can't move freely. That's one."

Ngunit, siyempre, masaya naman si Addy sa mga nakukuha niyang blessing dahil sa show na ito. Dagdag pa niya, muntik na siyang bumalik ng India kung hindi siya napasama sa cast ng Meant To Be.

Paliwanag niya, "And, of course, my dream is to be able to live in the Philippines and it's coming true. And I'm really thankful to GMA for giving me this project, because if it wasn't for this, I wouldn't know if I would still be in the Philippines. And, I would be honest, I never thought that I would get such a big break. But it did happen, and when I arrive in the Philippines my parents told me that they're giving me six months to do something, establish a career, and if not they'll ask me to go back to India and make a career there. But then one or two months [passed by], and [Meant To Be] happened already, and it was too fast, and everything just changed. I feel so so blessed."

Malaki rin daw ang naging growth niya as a person dahil ngayon bukod sa improvement niya when it comes to speaking in Tagalog at sa acting niya, natuto rin ng new skills si Addy.

Saad niya, "Of course, my Tagalog has improved a lot when I first started. I had absolutely no workshops, I had no acting experience. Barely one month of Tagalog lessons. And everything I experienced in the past seven months, everything I did is so new, even doing an interview like this is so new to me. So, you get my point, right? I think as a person I'm growing so much, and so fast. It opened me up to new things, I am so much more confident now, my Tagalog is better, my acting is better, I would have never danced, now I can. I used to sing before but never have I done it in front of so many people."

Kinakabahan ba si Addy noong unang mall tour nila?

Aniya, "I'm always the first one who goes out on stage out of the five of us. So, I was so nervous," dagdag pa niya na kabadong-kabado siya dahil sa dami ng nanonood.

Dagdag naman niya, "Pero ngayon hindi na talaga, so a lot has changed. And I hope that my attitude has not changed. But one of the reasons why I believe that [it has not changed] is because since I'm a foreigner I don't have family, relatives here. I barely have friends. So, I don't have anyone show off to. So the fame barely affected me and my attitude, which I hope continues to be the same."
