Andrea Torres can go on forever in describing how she finds Derek Ramsay to be the right man for her. She gives us a glimpse at how they make their relationship work in this exclusive interview.

Andrea Torres reveals what convinced her that her current boyfriend, Derek Ramsay, is “the one” for her.

in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Andrea says she finds validation that she and Derek share the same values especially when it comes to family.

She says, “Actually, pareho talaga kami ng values, e.

"Ang isang nag-stand out sa akin is kung paano ko tingnan and kung ano 'yung approach ko sa parents ko, nakita ko sa kanya.

"Kasi sometimes, may mga hindi nakaka-gets kung bakit ganito kami ka-close ng parents ko.

"Parang kasi kaming barkada talaga, and gustung-gusto ko talaga 'yung company nila.

"So, na-appreciate ko na si Derek ganun din sa parents niya.

"He still consults his parents. Bina-value niya 'yung opinion ng parents niya. Gusto niya sinasama niya palagi.

"So, nakakatuwa ngayon kasi every Sunday magkakasama kaming lahat, may gathering kami.”

Andrea also admires Derek's honesty as well as their maturity in dealing with situations.

She continues, “And isa rin sa mga pinakagusto kong ugali niya, he's very honest.

"Bago ko pa marinig sa ibang tao, nasabi na niya sa akin.

"So, kahit na magandang bagay 'yan or hindi magandang bagay 'yan, very transparent siya sa akin and gustung-gusto ko 'yun kasi nga parang it shows na mapagkakatiwalaan ko talaga siya.

“Yes, I think 'yun 'yung secret kung bakit naging smooth-sailing lahat for us kasi nga very open 'yung communication naming dalawa and very honest kami sa isa't isa.

"Kahit na ano, kahit na pagpupuna, ginagawa rin namin sa isa't isa, hindi lang 'yung puro kung ano 'yung gusto mong marinig, 'di ba?

"Pinupuna rin niya ako 'pag meron siyang napansin sa akin and ganun din ako sa kanya. So, nakakatuwa 'yung ganun, very mature.”

Despite being in a relationship, Andrea appreciates that the Kapuso hunk still reminds her to practice self-love.

She shares, “At the same time, pinu-push din niya ako and hindi niya hinahayaan na mawala 'yung self-worth ko.

"Lagi niya ako nire-remind kapag, siyempre, minsan may mga times na parang dina-doubt natin 'yung sarili natin, ganyan.

"So, siya 'yung laging nag-re-remind sa akin na, 'Hindi, kailangan mahalin mo 'yung sarili mo talaga 100%.' So, ang sarap sa pakiramdam na ganun.”

Andrea and Derek met as on-screen partners for the Kapuso primetime series, The Better Woman.

But while showbiz brought them together, the Kapuso actress is delighted that their relationship isn't about drama or showmanship.

She tells, “Nakakatuwa kasi 'yung samahan namin hindi siya 'yung… walang kabahid-bahid ng showbiz. 'Yun ganun. Very sincere talaga ng lahat ng mga nangyayari sa aming dalawa, so nakakatuwa lang.”
