Barbie Forteza admits that she's aware of the negative things people are saying about her. But over the years, she's learned to ignore the brickbats being thrown at her.
Whether it's acting out an intense scene or flirting at the camera for a rom-com, Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza can do no wrong.
That's why when it comes to doing different roles on-screen, the Kapuso actress makes sure that she would have a unique approach to each role.
“Sa drama kasi less is more. Pero sa comedy more, more, more!” Barbie explains to GMANetwork.com
“'Yung reaksyon mo, 'yung movements mo, 'yung actions mo, even the way you enter the scene dapat malaki talaga lahat.
“Lalo na pagdating sa impersonation, manggagaya ka talaga.
“But since you're just impersonating, 'di mo naman talaga gagayahin yung artistang yun kundi 'yung personality niya i-exagge mo kasi nga may touch of comedy nga.”

Take for example “Krissy,” her version of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, the character that she does in the weekly comedy show Sunday PinaSaya.
The 21-year-old clarifies, “Alam ko may ibang tao na nao-OA-an sa akin kapag ginagaya ko si Kris Aquino.
“Pero kasi, it's comedy nga and it's also impersonation.
“At saka, ganun naman talaga si Ms. Kris kaya wala naman ako masyadong binago.”
So how does she deal with the negative criticisms she's received over the years?
Turns out she takes a more mature approach.
“Nakakatuwa lang kasi good or bad opinion at least they know me. I'm a household name,” Barbie concludes.
