While Benjamin is comfortable talking about being with Chelsea, he'd rather not share all the details about his relationship.

He said in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, “Especially if the person isn't showbiz as well. That's why I'm very protective of that because the person that I'm with isn't from showbiz. And again hindi naman kami nagtatago sa social media. We're there, commenting on each other's photos. There's nothing to hide, there's nothing to be ashamed of.

“Whatever feels right for us, you know, we share. Other than I don't want to go further like how long have we been. The details are for us na lang. I think it's nice for people to see the journey, to see how it is now. That'd be fine. If you ask me if I'm happy with her, yeah, I'm extremely happy. Let's leave it at that,” he also added.

Benjamin also clarified his Instagram story posted yesterday, September 10, about not using labels in a relationship.

He claimed, “I didn't say I don't like it, I said it wasn't necessary… Sometimes you think it's so well thought out but it's IG story. Maybe I should've thought about it more but you know, I think people need to kinda relax sometimes. Sometimes mas malalim siya, but most of the time it's just you saw it, it sounded good. I think people shouldn't dig too deep on that.”

Beyond the details and the labels, what Benjamin sees as more important is the effect the relationship has for the people involved.

“[If it] make[s] you feel better, or make you a better person... I think that's a good sign, a good barometer to check if you should keep that person around,” he said.
