Kapuso comedian and Centerstage backstage host Betong Sumaya shared that he wants to go out of his comfort zone and explore new acting roles this year.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Betong bared that one of his most desired goals this year is to have new roles as an actor - not just a comedian but a drama actor.

“To explore more challenges as an actor. Mga roles na out of your comfort zone,” he said.

“Gusto kong i-try din 'yung drama in a way. Sinasabi kasi nila na isa sa mga pinakamatinding challenge ng mga komedyante ay 'yung magpaiyak,” he added.

As per Betong's major projects this 2020, his stint as Centerstage backstage host is his most notable yet.

“It is such an amazing feeling dahil kakaibang challenge naman ito, dahil mga bata naman 'yung makakasama,” he said.

Centerstage is a singing competition that will feature kids aged 12 and under who will try to outshine one another in order to take and defend their place on the center stage.
