Gazini Ganados explains issue with missing dress

Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados explains what happens to the "missing dress" of London-based Filipino designer Lesley Mobo.

Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados became the talk of the town in the fashion world these past few days when London-based Filipino designer Lesley Mobo found a missing dress he designed.

According to a report by PhilStar.com, the designer posted on his Facebook account that he was surprised to see his missing gown being worn by Gazini.

In the now-deleted post, he wrote, "What would you do if you find your missing archive dress suddenly being worn by a beauty queen and you're not even aware of it, and not being credited?

"I think she (Ganados) looks good on it but could do with a little help. Been looking for it (dress) since 2015."

Now the Filipina beauty queen has spoken up about the issue.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Gazini said that it all boils down to a little misunderstanding between the designer and the credited stylist Pam Quinones.

"Actually, I had a stylist from Curator who is Pam Quinones. She is the one responsible for all the gowns and outfits I wore that day.

"I confirmed it with her and she said that the dress was borrowed.

"And then the designer forgot that he lent it to Pam to the point that the designer already flew out of the country.

"It's just clearly a miscommunication and the designer forgot simply forgot about it.

"We're trying to communicate with him so that he can post another resonating reason to clear things out," the beauty queen clarified.

And earlier today, it seems like the issue has already been cleared between the two parties.

Mobo posted a photo that simply says, "Apology accepted."

"I'm not perfect...but making mistakes are part of life and we must all learn from this.

"The beauty queen has nothing to do with the issue and I hope she will win Miss Universe 2020! Go Fight Gazini," he captioned.
