After Crash Landing on You ended in 2020, Hyun Bin was met with back-to-back-to-back brand endorsements, guestings, and projects, including the 2024 movie Harbin.
According to reports, it surpassed 3M views in 9 days, and Hyun Bin is beyond honored to be part of such a historic and meaningful project.
“This movie tells the painful history of Korea, and I had the honor of portraying a real-life figure, Doctor Ahn Jung-geun, one of Korea's national heroes. The pressure was immense,” Hyuun Bin told GMANetwork.
Although pressured, the Korean actor was determined to deliver top-tier acting through the film. “For me personally, it was a tough challenge, but at the same time, I felt a deep responsibility to ensure the film would turn out well. The story speaks of the sacrifices made by the people, who truly gave their hearts and lives for their country. To depict even a fragment of this history, I had to put my whole heart into every scene.”
Hyun Bin's dedication to his art did not go unnoticed; today, millions of fans adore his works and have been avid supporters of his projects, including those from the Philippines, which he met in a special fan meeting event on August 8, 2025.
“After this interview, I'll be meeting the fans, and I'm really looking forward to it. I already knew there were many Filipino fans here in the Philippines, but now that I'm actually here, I'll get to see them in person, meet them face-to-face, and connect with them directly,” Hyun Bin told GMANetwork.com.
“Right now, I'm truly excited and happy,” he said, a few hours before the fan meet.
He even looked up a few Tagalog words like “Mahal kita” and “Salamat po,” with the latter being memorable to him because the intonation is “really adorable.”
With the overflowing support of his Filipino fans, Hyun Bin promises to come back as a better actor and to have more projects in the future.
“I always repeat thank you because I'm truly grateful for the overwhelming love and support they give,” said Hyun Bin. “I will do my best to keep improving as an actor, and with future projects, I hope to create even more special moments with the fans.”
