“Sam YG is one of my closest friends. He has been, and he will always be one of my closest friends." - Joyce Pring

It was DJ Tony Toni of Magic 89.9 who started the “chismis” three days ago that his fellow radio jocks-turned-friends Sam YG and Joyce Pring are engaged. However, the tandem dubbed as “SamPring” dismissed the “joke”  while they were on vacation in Palawan over the weekend.
 
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the actress-host revealed their real score. “I love Sam! Nothing special like romantic, but I love him as a friend. He loves me as a friend. We’re friends lang po (laughs). Totoo naman!” she exclaimed.

Joyce said they have been friends for about four years now, “Sam YG is one of my closest friends. He has been, and he will always be one of my closest friends. I knew him when I was still a teenager. We started working together, [and] we started hosting together.”
 
Along the way, she got to know the Boom-bae on a personal level, “I’m such a fan of Sam because he is one of the nicest [and] smartest hosts. [He’s] loving [to the] people he meets [and also] really fun to be with.”
 
She added, “Not a lot of people know that because of the image he portrays, but when you get to meet Sam on a personal level, he will truly be one of your most favorite people ever.”
