Kylie Padilla’s life changed after becoming a mom to Baby Alas a year ago. Aside from being a new mommy, Kylie, her relationship with boyfriend Aljur Abrenica has also evolved.

The couple dated in the past but broke up, yet rekindled their relationship after some time apart. Becoming parents has only made their relationship stronger, when asked how her relationship with Aljur changed over the years, Kylie answered. “Siguro kailangan lang namin ng time mag-mature. Pero iba rin ‘yung pagma-mature namin nung magkasama na kami, iba rin. Hindi siya madali kasi kanya-kaniya ng topak ang tao.”

She also admitted that she and Aljur make a choice every day to not let disagreements get in the way of their relationship. “Love is not a feeling, it’s a choice every day. Hindi talaga siya ‘yung puro kilig lang. Kahit ayaw na ayaw mong makita, mamahalin mo pa rin. Totoo naman eh, pipiliin mo talaga.”

Kylie also praised Aljur for how he has become a better person after he became a father. “Mas responsible na [siya], feeling ko kasi mas wise na siya ngayon. Mas pinag-iisipan niya na lahat. Mas grounded din siguro.”

Having younger siblings proved to be an advantage for Aljur, who is a natural when it comes to being a dad. Kylie said, “Pero yung pagiging daddy innate na sa kaniya kasi siya na nag-alaga sa mga kapatid niya. Feeling ko nga  mas marunong siya sa akin mag-alaga eh,” she joked.
