Among the classic and intricate details of Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica's intimate wedding ceremony was a special poem written by Lang Leav inscribed on the aisle. According to the Kapuso actress, it was a gift from the poet and novelist, and was inspired by their love story.
Kylie shared in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com the poem especially written for her union with Aljur. She identified the last two stanzas to tug at her heartstrings the most, confirming the whole poem took inspiration from their relationship.
The poem was titled “Vows,” and it read:
“After the breakup actually, I held myself back kasi I don't want to be just known for my relationship. There's a woman behind just being in love. But now, gusto ko talaga i-celebrate kasi it's a good thing to be married. It's a good thing to be in love. Everybody wants to be in love and be loved,” she explained.
“I'm letting myself go now. Share, kasi masaya talaga ako,” Kylie added.
