Para kay Marc, mahalaga ang konsepto ng reinvention, lalo na sa mga banda na matagal na sa industriya. 

Maituturing na 'blessed' si Marc Abaya at ang kanyang bandang Kjwan dahil sa dami ng kanilang gigs ngayon. 

May role pa si Marc sa GMA Afternoon Prime series na Hahamakin Ang Lahat, kaya aminado siyang halos hindi makahanap ang banda ng time para magsulat ng mga bagong kanta.

"Our plan was to release singles every month, thinking it would speed things up. Instead, life happened and things started slowing down. Our plan now is to work on an album," kuwento ni Marc sa isang eksklusibong panayam ng GMANetwork.com.

"Hopefully by next year we have an album that's long overdue," dagdag pa niya. 

Nais daw nilang maglabas ng mga materyal na hindi inaasahan ng kanilang fans. 

"We are old. We have done the rock and roll thing for a long time. We're very proud of it but we just thought, 'Why don't we do something new?'" paliwanag niya. 

Gayunpaman, tinitiyak ni Marc na mananatiling totoo sa kanilang roots ang banda. 

"The trick will then be, to still be the band. You're just doing something new but it's still Kjwan. That's the idea," aniya.

Isa daw sa kasalukuyang inspirasyon nila para sa pinaplanong album ang electronic dance music or EDM. 

"That's the music I listen to now. For those who have Spotify, I highly suggest the Majestic Casual playlist. [There are] a lot of brilliant songs there. I think the whole band is inspired by that feel. That's what I wanna sound like if ever for the new one," kuwento niya.

"It is a new generation. Evolve or die. Since we all like the music, as in we really like the music, why don't we give it a shot? [We'll] see what happens. That should be exciting," pagtatapos niya.
