In a chance interview with the model-host at the GMA Network Center, she talked about some of her insecurities that she felt before joining Eat Bulaga.

Maureen said, “Well, I'm very thankful of course since it was hard for me kasi I cannot speak Tagalog fluently but I'm learning.”

She admitted that it was bit challenging for her to become a dabarkad since she has no hosting experience.

“And I haven't hosted like at all life before being with Eat Bulaga, so it was like hard for me to kind of like get used to everything,” she added.

Despite the challenges, Maureen credits her Eat Bulaga co-hosts for making it easier for her to adjust in her new environment.

“But everyone was just so nice all the hosts, everyone was just super nice and welcoming,” she said.

In addition, the newbie host said that the multi-awarded noontime show changed her life in so many ways by giving her a regular job, and she hopes to remain a dabarkad for a very long time.

“It is everyday it's like from Monday to Saturdays, it's like a normal regular job for me 'cause I would not like have work every single day until Saturdays.

“It's good cause you know you don't need to worry about not having work.”

“It means a lot for me, I'm just very thankful and very blessed for this opportunity and I hope to stay a dabarkad for a very long time,” she ended.
