Former Encantadia star Mikee Quintos was all praise for the production team behind of the weekly fantasy series, Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the talented singer/actress believes that the show is a way for kids who seldom read to learn about classic fairy tales.

She explained, “I think it’s really good na GMA thought of this actually. ‘Yung mga bata ngayon diyan na sa iPad, sa TV, sa social media na sila nanonood 'di ba.”

“Eh like ako naabutan ko pa ‘yung books. So nung bata ako naririnig ko pa lahat ng stories na 'yan. Alam ko ‘yung Goldilocks and the Three Bears, alam ko ‘yung Three Little Pigs, alam ko lahat 'yan.”

She also thinks that Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko turns these classics into more appealing stories, which the younger generation will relate to.

“It’s a different take on kung ano ‘yung traditional pero I think it’s a good thing na somehow they got the taste of what was traditional before.”

This Sunday, August 13, Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko will feature Mikee in the story of Golda and the Three Pandas.

According to her she enjoyed shooting the episode since she adores pandas.

“Gusto ko ‘yun pandas. I’m really, personally sobrang love ko ang pandas. Okay kung ‘yung iba may cat videos na pag-bored sila cat videos ang pinagtritripan. Ako panda videos eh.”
