If not for the show, the Kapuso actor may have given up on acting. 

Kapuso actor/singer Mikoy Morales would smile everytime he would talk about his gay role in the hit sitcom Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento.’

In his exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the former Protégé finalist admitted that he enjoys every moment he gets to portray Roxy, the best friend of Chito [Jake Vargas] and his girlfriend Nikki [Julie Anne San Jose].  

According to Mikoy, “Roxy is the longest character I have [portrayed'. So ang sarap umabot na siya sa point na the character really grows into you.”

“Minsan isang [pitik] Roxy ka na. Parang you think like Roxy, you act like Roxy, you talk like Roxy."

But unknown to all, Mikoy credits Pepito Manaloto for pushing him to continue on in showbiz.

The Kapuso actor explained that there was a time that he was questioning if he made the right decision to become an actor.

But, the award-winning sitcom reminded him that there are people who trust and believe in his acting skills.

Mikoy said, “Sobrang suwerte ko talaga sa show na ‘yun, like it was also one of the shows na and one of the roles na talagang there was a time that I didn’t know if what I was doing was still worth it.”

“But because of this show (Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kwento), parang dito ko na-reassure na parang sige tuloy mo lang, tuloy ko lang ‘to, kaya ko ‘to. May mga naniniwala pa rin sa akin and may mga nagagawa pa rin akong tama sa industriyang ito. Ang laking tulong din sa akin nito personally,”
