Phytos Ramirez in Madrasta

Phytos Ramirez feels lucky to be part of the new GMA series 'Madrasta': "I'm really lucky na may trust silang ganun na binibigay sa akin.”

They simply can't fake acting.

This was what Phytos Ramirez claimed as he talked about his experience in the upcoming Kapuso drama, Madrasta.

Phytos considers Madrasta his third big break on TV, having been part of Encantadia and Contessa.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Phytos said, “I'm just glad na they still trust me with the roles na binibigay nila sa akin. They know that I could portray it. So I'm really lucky na may trust silang ganun na binibigay sa akin.”

According to the actor, director Monti Parungao and his co-stars are taking their scenes very seriously, and that only encourages him to up his acting.

Phytos expained, “With the shots and how we portray it, talagang tutok na tutok si Direk. That's what I love about Direk, kasi sobrang metikuloso niya.

"At first, ang hirap. Ang hirap kasi minsan, may times na iba kayo ng pagpo-portray doon sa character pero nakakatuwa kasi ganun siya ka-gutom doon sa project. Ganun siya ka-passionate doon sa project.

"I think 'yun 'yung isang reason bakit we are having fun and we are enjoying every scene that we do.

“Meron din kaming acting coach sa set. And then if nakukulangan si direk o nasosobrahan, talagang we have to redo the scene dahil nga sobrang kitang-kita mo sa eksena 'yung detalye,” he continued.

Phytos will star with Arra San Agustin, Juancho Trivino, Thea Tolentino, Manilyn Reynes, Gladys Reyes, and Almira Muhlach in Madrasta.

Catch them on GMA Afternoon Prime starting October 7.
